Chaddock
Have you ever thought about opening your heart and your home to a foster child? Each week, children in our Western Illinois area need a safe and loving home. Chaddock is consistently rated as one of the top foster care agencies in the state of Illinois. Foster parents shape lives and in the process experience both the challenges and rewards that come with the task. You don’t need to be perfect to provide a welcoming, safe home for a child - you just need to share the belief that every child deserves a chance and be willing to share your love with those who are truly in great need.
If you are married, single, male, female, young, old, with no children, grown children, children at home, living in town, on the farm, in a big house, or renting an apartment, Chaddock can help you take that next step to become the family a child needs.

- Pass a background check
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete the Home Study
- Provide at least three references

Foster families must be able to provide a safe and comfortable home for a child. You must provide room for the child to have a bed and enough space for personal belongings.
Foster parents do not need to be married or have a partner. However, if married, couples must show a stable marriage of at least one year before they can foster a child in Illinois.
Foster parents need to meet a child's basic care needs, such as providing meals and clothing. Foster families must also support a foster child's education and assist them in developing social skills.
Contact the DCFS or a local licensed child-placing agency to learn more or begin the fostering approval process.

Chaddock was my first home. My mom and dad worked there for years. My dad actually finished his life there. Very thankful for the Chaddock "family" I had growing up. I and my daughter where baptized in the chapel.

M name is Irena Bechtle or people call me Rain. Chaddock has made a huge impact in my life. They taught me how to be brave, honest, a leader, a better daughter, and how to really not only on Chaddock, but also on my loving parents. Chaddock has also thought me about love that God,my parents, extend family love me even if I dont . The staff, therapists, nurse's, cottage managers and everyone else I haven't mentioned at Chaddock work like crazy. If you like are close to them or not they will NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU. Chaddock helped me so much I am forever grateful it has prepared me for next step in life even though I am not 100 sure where it will be.
THANK YOU
-RAIN
