Catholic Charities Adoption Services is here for you! Since 1952, we have been active in the adoption community. We are a licensed child-placing agency with an experienced, professional staff that values life and celebrates the unique design of families created through adoption.

As our clients, you will receive individualized support throughout your adoption journey. Catholic Charities aims to maintain the highest standards and ethics in adoption practice. We strive to limit the number of waiting families, keep adoption fees as minimal as possible, and provide education relevant to building forever families through adoption.

Requirements to become a foster parent

Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:

  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Prove good health and ability to care for a child
  • Maintain a stable income
  • Pass a background screening
  • Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
  • Complete a Home Study

The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

Cold-hearted people I called for over 2 hours with no answer constant redial over 423 calls. Then I call and these people are just so cold-hearted and totally denied me.

They offer Emergency Assistance services to those who are in need of help with rental assistance, assistance with security deposits and/or assistance with utilities etc. If you or anyone needs assistance, contact them. They also help those that are experiencing hardship due to COVID-19. Reach out to your local Catholic Charities to see if they can be of assistance to you.
