Child Adoption Assistance - The Adoption & Family Support Center is a Full Service, Licensed Child Placing Agency. Our agency was established in 1992.
Our child adoption assistance service specializes in individualized support for adoptive and birth families. We help you every step of your adoption journey, from your home study to placement.
Our mission is to encourage an environment of trust and respect in which each member of the adoption triad can define their journey and fulfill their adoption goals. We create enduring relationships with our birth parents and adoptive families and strive to be of service to them for as long as they need us.
We hope to share God’s love for each of our birth parents through our genuine care for them and our non-judgmental and unconditional acceptance of them. Through our words and deeds, we pray that each family will come to know their intrinsic value and worth in God’s eyes.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

For the past few years, the Adoption & Family Support Center's office was built on the back of my home. I found birth parents felt more comfortable entering a home environment. But as our agency grew, the need for more space became apparent. I am pleased to announce, that we have relocated to 5889 S. Williamson Blvd., #1405 in Port Orange. Here are some photos of our new office...our agency is so excited for the future!!

We adopted our baby girl through this agency three months ago. We have an open adoption was was facilitated by this great agency. We have nothing negative to say about their role in our adoption journey!

I personally went through this Agency. I placed 5 weeks ago, it's a open adoption. Everyone at the office was so supportive before hand and after. This agency truly has become like a 2nd Family and they also have a Birthmom group where they have meetups.

Everyone, 6 months today I had a baby boy who I put up for adoption. I just want to say thank you to everyone here at the agency because without you in my life I would have never been able to face the trials I faced at that moment in my life. You are not just a agency in my eyes. You have become family and my most support. Through jail to birth to breast surgery everyone stood by my side and still stands til this day. Thank you and I truly love every single one of you. I love u!!
