Our child adoption assistance service specializes in individualized support for adoptive and birth families. We help you every step of your adoption journey, from your home study to placement.
Our mission is to encourage an environment of trust and respect in which each member of the adoption triad can define their journey and fulfill their adoption goals. We create enduring relationships with our birth parents and adoptive families and strive to be of service to them for as long as they need us.
We hope to share God’s love for each of our birth parents through our genuine care for them and our non-judgmental and unconditional acceptance of them. Through our words and deeds, we pray that each family will come to know their intrinsic value and worth in God’s eyes.

Requirements to become a foster parent
Many adults are eligible to become foster parents in their state but do not always realize it. Each state in the U.S. has regulations and requirements for licensing foster parents. Florida does not require parents to own a large home or quit their jobs and become stay-at-home parents. Florida foster parents must:
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Prove good health and ability to care for a child
- Maintain a stable income
- Pass a background screening
- Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
- Complete a Home Study
The required training course is free to aspiring foster parents. It helps parents learn how to foster children and become licensed to provide foster care in Florida.

If you’re an adoptive family, beware! We had a failed adoption with this agency and were told we would be given priority to every opportunity that came their way. It’s been 3 years and we’ve got nothing. They have $15,000 of our money and aren’t even trying to match us. It’s a disgrace to the industry. I would never recommend this agency to anyone trying to adopt.

I absolutely 100% recommend this agency. These woman are incredibly compassionate and they are just amazing. I haven't met many people with the hearts and passion they have for children and families. They performed an excellent service to our family and made huge efforts in completing our homestudy in an expedited timely manner as we needed. I highly recommend them.

We cannot say enough about how amazing our experience with AFSC has been! These ladies care so much and with each interaction you can see how great their passion is for adoption and for caring for the mothers. They have laughed with us and rejoiced with us and cried with us and just walked with all of us through this process in the same loving way that they would do for a family member. We love them so much and we have so much to thank them for! As I sit here and hold my precious baby girl, my heart is so full and when I hear about how they are still so tenderly caring for our birthmother, who is now part of our family, I'm filled with thankfulness!

The compassion and care these ladies show towards the expectant families is sincere and ethical. They are so very supportive and helpful to the perspective adoptive families. We are so grateful we found them- they helped us to create a beautiful relationship with our son's biological family. We are excited about working with them again for our second adoption. We love them. ❤
