Azleway Children's Services
Azleway has been faithfully restoring the lives and relationships of children in crisis since 1979. We have had the privilege of helping thousands of children and families in desperate need.
Every child entering our agency is evaluated and placed in one of our programs based on how we can best meet their needs. This is done through group housing, therapeutic group housing, and direct foster care placement.
The children that come to Azleway have scars from their past lives. We take children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, and developmental challenges. Some, even at very tender ages, are so beaten by life that they barely remain afloat.
Regardless of their situation when they come to us, our purpose, vision, and driving passion remain the same. Our goal is to bring each child into a caring environment where they receive structure, compassion, educational opportunities, and coping skills, with the ultimate objective remaining to direct them into a healthy family environment.
At Azleway, we value each child as an individual with goals, talents, feelings, and love to offer each other and society. We continually seek the best of these from each child while encouraging them to believe in the best they have to offer themselves. These children are precious gifts from God; all things are possible through Him. We value ourselves in being… “Not just a home, an opportunity.”

Requirements to become a foster parent
Adults who are new to the fostering process sometimes feel overwhelmed and wonder if they will have support on their journey. Your child-placing agency is the first resource. Social services caseworkers provide aspiring foster parents with various types of support and connections. These include free educational training programs, helplines, and support groups.
It is important that foster parents build their individual support network, too. Connecting with other foster families with more experience is an excellent place to begin. Texas groups offer foster parent meetups; you can search online for the closest one.
The Texas Foster Family Association provides state training, a regional directory of support services, a summer training conference, and more. Membership benefits include getting access to foster care professionals and learning more about ways to become better caregivers. Children of TFFA members can also get assistance through the Scholarship Fund.
Austin Angels is another support organization that strives to assist foster parents and Texas foster children. They offer care packages and gifts for foster children and their caregivers, mentorship options, and education, among other resources. Foster children and teens can learn valuable skills that help prepare them for independent living, as well.

Papa Bill s. Store has been a blessing to me and other families that have come to visit. I've enjoyed the guys there and I miss Ms M he used to assist in taking the scheduled calls and setting his appointments she has such a charm about her and a commitment full of compassion. Even though today during The covid times they still serve the public. They are very generous and I wish that someone out there will be able to fund them with more money to help the outreach of these young men and young boys that need this type of guidance with family issues attitudes coping skills etc. This is really a beautiful place outside the city limits of Tyler and has such great counseling skills and staff that believe in helping these folks. I wish I could do something for them monetarily however I'm not working I have to use the resources myself through their food pantry. I definitely recommend anyone who needs some assistance to visit them you can call them on Mondays at 8:30 or 30 minutes and see if he can get in for their Wednesday food call. God Bless such compassionate men. SUZETTE
