Children's Friend, Inc.
Children's Friend, an affiliate of Seven Hills, has been serving children and families in the greater Worcester community since 1849. Our mission is to improve the lives of children and those who love them by creating, supporting, and strengthening families. Our commitment to care for and serve children and their families has remained constant throughout our long history.
What started as an orphan's home has grown into an agency that provides adoption services, early education and care, mental health services, and peer support groups for grieving children and teens. Our continuous efforts to be the leading community resource for quality professional mental health and child welfare services, have kept us at the vanguard of exploring and implementing approaches that improve the quality of life for our clients.
Children's Friend's programs reflect the complex needs of contemporary families. They are designed to improve family relationships, ensure effective parenting and protection of children, and create within each family an environment where children can grow into healthy, educated and responsible members of the community.

As a Social Worker, I had a child who was exposed to severe trauma and had challenging behaviors with the pre-adoptive home. The Clinician did a great job in terms of educating the family and giving them strategies to address the kid's behaviors.

This agency saved our family. We adopted 2 Foster children and have been with the same counselor for over 5 years. Our children are able to reach their full potential because of the care and dedication of the staff. My daughter is a competitive Irish Dancer and plays violin and my son is a star baseball player and also plays the violin. None of this would have been possible with the help and support of Childrens Friend! My children still have daily struggles but continue to improve and are able to reach their goals. We now have hope for their futures!

Worst agency ever if you have to go through adoption. As a foster mom I ended up adopting a child and I had the worst experience ever. Thats why their staff always leaves.
