For more than 70 years, Envision Unlimited has served people with disabilities across all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Today, our wide array of home and community-based programs benefit over 2,000 individuals across the state of Illinois. Envision provides day programs, community living services, employment services, a foster care program, and mental health services.

At Envision, we hold ourselves to the highest possible standard. We voluntarily invite regular independent evaluation to ensure that we successfully address our clients' and families' unique needs. Across the 14 consecutive surveys offered since 1978, we received the highest possible scores from the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). We measure our success by program participants' progress, as we help children and adults realize self-identified goals and objectives. Above all, Envision is an advocate for the disability community. We believe all individuals, given the right opportunities, are capable of achieving great breakthroughs and leading lives of choice, independence, and inclusion.

  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Attend foster parent orientation
  • Pass a background check
  • Finish 30 hours of foster parent training
  • Complete the Home Study
  • Provide at least three references

Foster families must be able to provide a safe and comfortable home for a child. You must provide room for the child to have a bed and enough space for personal belongings.

Foster parents do not need to be married or have a partner. However, if married, couples must show a stable marriage of at least one year before they can foster a child in Illinois.

Takes to long to get what you need from them. They let go professional staff that helped me get what they offer in a timely manner. They seem to give more money to non straight clients. They also told me that they won't replace piss poor staff that leak confidential information u have to see and keep cordially with.

They give this speech about the importance of flexibility and wearing many hats. Still, when respecting someone’s disability rights, they fall very short in the spectrum. The employee hir quickly becomes an inconvenience and is let go without warning for having a medical emergency brought on by their disability.
