Bethany Christian Services
Being a foster parent is so much more than loving a child in your home. It’s also showing kindness to a family when they need it most.
It’s giving a child a safe place to land during a hard, scary time when they’re away from home. And it’s showing compassion to a parent who is likely overwhelmed, scared, and without a lot of support.
It’s helping a child stay connected to the only home they’ve ever known, in whatever way it’s safe to do so, and cheering on a family that’s living out a comeback story.
At Bethany, our heart beats for family. We want to see families strong, supported, and together. But we know there are times when families face challenges—and children need care.
That’s why we’re seeking foster parents who believe in families too.

Requirements to become a foster parent
The DHS assists foster families with placement and ensures the child adjusts well to their new environment. Whether you have years of parenting experience or are relatively new to the idea, they have many support options for families. You can find plenty of information on the DHS/DFCS website or call them for more assistance.
Your local licensed child placement agency also places children in the foster system with carefully matched parents. Although foster care is temporary, it's crucial to find the right fit. That's why parents get a say in age range and gender.
There are also many state support groups for foster families that provide educational resources, services, and more. Connecting with these organizations and adding to your personal support network will be invaluable.
One of the best ways to become a better parent, whether you plan on fostering a child short-term or adopting, is to read as much as you can about Georgia's foster system. For instance, recently proposed bills would help to streamline parts of the state's foster care placement system.
You can find plenty of information available online for free as well. Blogs, podcasts, and videos are all incredibly useful ways to obtain new information about fostering.

Pure evil, masquerading as a Christian adoption agency.

I dealt with the Atl office. I wouldn’t recommend them, I went through the adoption process and had so many issues and red flags. Between them losing paperwork on several occasions, then tell you and email one thing. Then go back and say I didn’t do what they told me. I’m like here is what you said and they act as though they didn’t comprehend. Then only bad thing was I got an unsatisfactory for an old charge, then went to court and had it reversed because it was very old. But the said they closed my case, only reason they closed case is due to me asking them about a charge that appeared in my portal. I asked what was it and then the next week they said they closed my case. It was only 2 people Chardonnay and Geraldine who was kind of courteous. The manager Jessica never returned calls and when she did she would send emails like 1 or 2 in morning. I would respond right back because I was up and then she would respond sometimes. It gave me the feeling of oh he worrying me because he want information. It always felt like pulling teeth to get any information from her. I have a long email trail. I wouldn’t wise the way they treated me on anyone. I agree with person in previous review, they need to worry about quality, ethics and potential parent service then just acting like people are worrying her.

I would give them five star but ... when put son up for adoption I suppose get picture or a called . They stop sending me picture and updates of my son. I still got paper works on him but the simple fact is I supposed to get updates for him they stop calling they start checking on me they start telling you what's going on with my son I still have the right to see my son but I don't like that at all y'all posed to be a Christian Seventh-day Adventist option agency what kind of person doesn't get the update on their own newborn child I feel some type of way but it's like he's in a better place in a better home I just want to see my son one more time and see if he's okay mama still loves you always God please watch over him I just want to see him one last time and he can go on by his life.

Love this agency. They took great care of me and my kids. I wish I remembered my counselor's name because I wanted to talk to her if I could but she was fantastic.
